For part 2 of our FAQ’s on solar, we decided to focus more specifically on the actual installation of your panels. Below you will find answers to the labor involved, how the system is attached, and how to pick the right solar company for you.
- How long will it take to install my solar system?
Typical installation of a solar system will average around 2-3 days. Depending on the size and type of installation there is always some fluctuation in this time period. Generally it will never take longer than 5 days.
- How do installers attach the system to my roof?
Depending on your roof type the installation can be less or more expensive. The panels are attached to the beams in your roof so as to weather any storms and can become a part of the infrastructure of your house. To watch how we attach your system, watch this video.
- What should I look for in a solar company?
The three most important things to look for in a company are experience, licensing, and customer testimonials and reviews. You should be looking to make sure the company has experience installing solar systems and that their customers are willing to vouch for them. Here at California Solar Electric we have an entire page dedicated to all the great things our customers have to say about us.
