If that headline sounds like a second language to you, here’s the simple translation: the utilities proposed to gut one of the most significant benefits to solar customers. We wrote, picketed, called and chanted, and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) listened! While it still has to go to a vote, their recommendation is to leave it as it is. And as it is, it’s a great benefit to our solar community.
So many people played a part in sharing with CPUC why this was so important to our communities and the environment. We certainly showed up for rallies, made phone calls and sent our email blasts explaining what our community stood to lose. But a huge thanks goes to California Solar Energy Industries Association (CALSEIA) for keeping the torch lit and all of us updated on the issues.
