Battery Backup Incentive Finally In Full Swing

Having grid-tied solar is great, but having a reliable renewable source of electricity even when the power goes out is even better.

Now, since the the California Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) has been brought back with Advanced Energy Storage (aka battery backup) newly included, grid-tied utility customers can upgrade their systems to include energy storage, then store some of the excess electricity generated by their solar systems for use at night and during power outages. And with the rebates afforded them by rate-payer supported rebates from their utility, they can get these upgrades for about forty cents on the dollar!
